Welcome to the April 2015 edition of C-TEC News

VADS TO BE HAD!
Copies of our new EN54 part 23 Visual Alarm Devices brochure are now available. As well as detailing our full range of addressable VADs, the brochure doubles as an informative ‘how to’ guide, providing an overview of VAD-related legislation and a useful 'hints and tips' section on system design.  All three of C-TEC's VAD ranges are listed - our certified Compact C-3-8 Ceiling VAD, our Hi-Output W-3-8 Wall VAD and our soon-to-be-released C-3-8 Base VAD. FREE CAD DOWNLOADS!
C-TEC has released its first batch of specifier-friendly CAD drawings. Industry-standard DWG files of our SigTEL disabled refuge system, NC951 disabled persons toilet alarm and 800 Series call system can now be downloaded at Fastrackcad. Says Andy Green, C-TEC’s Marketing Manager: “We’ve created these CAD drawings so architects and engineers can incorporate them easily into their designs." CAD drawings of other C-TEC products will follow soon.

APOLLO PRODUCT PRICE INCREASE
Our supplier, Apollo Fire Detectors, has notified us that a number of its product prices have increased. The increases vary from product to product some more significant than others and unfortunately we have no option but to pass these increases onto our customers. Apollo's revised pricing will apply from next Monday (13/4/15). Please contact your account manager should you require a detailed breakdown.

FIM EXPO CARDIFF
Next Wednesday (15/4/15) sees the FIA-sponsored FIM Expo roadshow arrive in Cardiff.  C-TEC will be there exhibiting its ZFP touchscreen-controlled fire panel and its new range of EN54-23 Sounder/VADs. FIMS Expo is different to most fire industry shows due to its informal format and regional focus. Why not pop along for a chat with our South West Fire Account Manager, Tim Swift? The event takes place at Wales Millennium Centre on Cardiff Bay between 9am and 4pm. You can pre-register here.

GET ACTIV!
Sales of our ActiV conventional fire detectors are continuing to rise. Certified to the relevant parts of EN54-5 & 7, the range incorporates optical, fixed heat, rate-of-rise and multi-sensor detectors and two mounting bases (diode & non-diode).
